ระบบกำจัดไขมันแบบลอยตะกอน Dissolved Air Flotation System (DAF) เป็นระบบแยกไขมันที่อยู่ในน้ำเสียด้วยสารเคมีสร้างตะกอน ตะกอนที่เกิดขึ้นจะถูกฟองอากาศพยุงให้ตะกอนไขมันลอยขึ้นที่ผิวน้ำ และถูกแยกออกโดยการใช้ใบกวาดที่ผิวน้ำ (Skimmer) น้ำเสียที่ผ่านระบบ DAF จะสามารถลดค่าไขมัน (Oil&Grease) ในน้ำเสียได้กว่าร้อยละ 90 ส่งผลให้กระบวนการบำบัดน้ำเสียทางชีวภาพมีประสิทธิภาพในการบำบัดมากขึ้น ,ปัจจัยสำคัญของการบำบัดน้ำเสียที่มี Oil&grease คือต้องกำจัด Oil&grease ให้เหลือเข้าสู่ระบบถัดไป เช่น ระบบเลี้ยงเชื้อ ให้น้อยที่สุด , การเลี้ยงเชื้อจึงจะได้ประสิทธิภาพสูงสุด

Dissolved air flotation
Dissolved Air flotation technology plays an important role in solid-liquid separation Simultaneously reduce COD, BOD, chroma. Firstly, mix flocculating into raw water and stir thoroughly. After the effective retention time, the raw water enters into the reaction zone where microscopic air bubbles adhere to the floc and then flows into the separation zone. Under the buoyancy effects, the tiny bubbles float the flocs to the surface, forming a sludge blanket. skimmer removes the sludge into the sludge hopper. Then the lower clarified water flows into the clean-water reservoir through the collecting pipe. Some of water are recycled to the flotation tank for the air dissolving system, while others will be discharged.
Advantage of Dissolved Air Flotation:

- Low installation cost.
- Minimum space requirement. Thickened sludge consistency is 2 ~3 %.
- Easy maintenance and clean.
